Classification: Part/Full-time Internship | Reports to: Director of Development & Operations
Use your passion and development skills to support a local non-profit.
This role will work closely with the Director of Development and Operations to update and maintain data reports, donor outreach, prospect research, event planning, communications, and associated administrative tasks. Assignments will vary and may include researching foundations, drafting communications materials to donors, phone and email outreach
Candidates should possess strong organizational, writing, research, time management, and interpersonal communication skills, as well as a strong attention to detail. Access to a computer and internet connection are required. Coursework, prior experience, or a strong interest in fundraising, public relations, marketing, communications, and/or events management are an asset, as well as a desire to learn about the nonprofit sector and the environmental field.
We’re looking for a forward-thinking individual who is respectful, flexible and dedicated to excellence in their work. Preferred experience with CBIZ, Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Adobe and Salesforce.
Experience dealing with confidential documents and access to a computer and internet connection are required.
Unpaid fall internship.
Flexible hours Monday-Friday but must be available to come onsite and as-needed meetings during office hours between 8am-5pm Central Standard Time (Chicago). Some virtual task capabilities.
