  • Classification: Full-time   |   Reports To: Executive Director

    The Director of Accounts and Alumni Relations will ensure all financial policies, procedures, and internal controls are documented and implemented while maintaining all financial and banking files, records and an agency cash flow management system. The Director of Accounts and Alumni Relations will oversee all aspects of the Almost Home property requirements, management of the long-range capital improvement planning, management of contracts & budgets for the grounds, facilities and maintenance while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.  In addition, this role will lead the efforts to identify, cultivate, solicit, and oversee alumni relations of Almost Home.

    Job Qualifications Include:

    • Commitment to the Mission and Vision of Almost Home
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or other relevant field, MBA preferred
    • A minimum of 3-5 years in a professional and/or leadership role in finance
    • Manage annual budgets, schedule expenses, initiate corrective measures and prepare reports for collecting, analyzing, and summarizing financial data
    • Work with executive team to analyze financial data and provide strategies to improve agency’s financial position
    • Manage daily property requirements and maintain long-range capital improvement planning through regular inspection of property for damage, contractor effectiveness and areas of improvement
    • Manage all vendor contracts to ensure compliance and satisfaction
    • Devise and implement strategies for fostering excellent alumni relations that will build and strengthen relationship between Almost Home and our community of program graduates.
    • Provide support to alumni by connecting them to support systems that continue to advance them towards their goals of long-term self-sufficiency

    The ideal candidate will have technical competence, proficiency in the use of computers for word processing, fiscal reporting, spreadsheets, databases, email and internet, preferable beyond basic working knowledge of Excel.  Basic knowledge of Management Software. (agency uses Salesforce)

  • Classification: Full Time   |   Reports To: Executive Director

    The Development Coordinator serves as the lead fundraising professional for the agency. The primary responsibility of this position is to identify and cultivate prospective donors from whom to solicit gifts and nurture donor relationships through regular contact, communication, and recognition. The Development Coordinator is responsible for full oversight of all fundraising events.  The Development Coordinator will work to put systems and processes in place to engage the Board of Directors, staff and other key constituents in successfully achieving the agency’s fundraising goals. The Development Coordinator will be responsible for leading and developing staff to execute the agency’s fundraising strategy.

    Job Qualifications Include:

    • Commitment to the Mission and Vision of Almost Home
    • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, public relations or other relevant field
    • A minimum of 3-5 years in a professional and/or leadership role in development
    • Prospecting, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding gifts of various sizes from individuals, foundations and corporations
    • Overseeing all special fundraising events
    • Ability to create, track, and analyze all fundraising and development initiatives
    • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
    • Demonstrate ability to cultivate donor relations and effectively work with individuals of high net worth
    • Detailed oriented with respect to planning, analyzing, record keeping and evaluation of outcomes
    • Produce and maintain all electronic communications with the public, to include AH Website, Blogs, Social Media sites and quarterly electronic newsletter

     

    The ideal candidate will be proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Office, basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Proficient understanding of Donor Management software (agency uses Salesforce).

  • Classification: Part-time   |   Reports To: Lead Coach

    Do you want to be a part of helping teen moms and their babies grow and develop to their full potential?  If so, we might want to meet you.

    Almost Home is an innovative social service agency that provides housing and support services for teen moms and their babies.  When you start your career at Almost Home, expect to work alongside enthusiastic, motivated people who embrace our client-centered philosophy.  We’re looking for a forward-thinking individual who can establish, nurture and maintain positive relationships with our direct-care staff and our clients.  We will train candidates to understand our approach to working with clients to ensure their success in our program.

    The TLC will conduct walk-throughs, interact with clients in a professional manner, provide support to kitchen staff, dispense medicine and supplies, supervise program activities, and other duties as assigned. Experience in residential setting or work in a related field is preferred.  Applicants must have good verbal and written communication skills, basic computer skills, and the ability to provide positive support and guidance to young women. Successful applicants must have demonstrated organizational skills, be able to multitask, and have a strong work ethic. A High School diploma and ability to obtain chauffer’s license is required.  Must be flexible with work schedule and willing to work Monday-Friday 6-10 am, evenings, overnights and weekends as needed.
